Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band came to the Belly Up Tavern in Solona Beach on Monday March 18th and killed it!
This was not my first Josh Ritter show. My friend Susan brought me to a show in 2011. I had never heard or seen him before, but as soon as he walked stage with his huge smile and graciousness I was won over.
This is the very first concert video I have ever shot Snow Is Gone. The love that Josh has for his music shines through and is completely infectious! How could you NOT smile while watching this video!?
Josh Ritter has such heart and passion when he is performing and his audience loves to participate. My favorite part was: he had almost all the lights out, Josh was singing a part over and over, the audience joined in and he switched to a different part and we all kept singing our part. It was so gentle and sweet.
Even after all this time, I still did not know all of Josh's songs, he has so many, I still had such an amazing time. I have just begun listening to his new album Beast In Its Tracks and am loving it even more now that I was able to hear most of it live. You can drown in the emotion of these songs...
I also found a new music love Lake Street Dive. They were so fun and had amazing soul! I LOVED them so much I bought their album and have to send it over to our Music Maven so she can love them too. Go check them out on their Facebook page and Twitter!
