I’m a food geek who is a teensy bit obsessed with baking, blogging, travel, and Doctor Who. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and enjoy every stress inducing minute of it. I love anything that involves bacon or sprinkles. Sometimes I write for Aiming Low. I live in Hawaii with my husband, two sassy bass daughters, and dog.
The Nerdy Girlie: What is your 1st nerd memory?
Arbine: When I was in elementary school I used to love going to the library and the book store. Reading was always my thing. I remember wanting to go to Waldenbooks to get the latest Baby-Sitters Club book. Claudia was my favorite.
TNG: How and why did you start blogging?
Arbine: I started blogging over two years ago mostly as a creative outlet. At the time my oldest was two-years-old and my youngest was 9 months. I needed something that was just for myself. Then one day I came across How Sweet It Is and said, hey, this looks like fun, maybe I could start a blog too. So I did.
TNG: YOUR favorite blog?
Arbine: There are so many awesome blogs out there that it’s hard to choose just one. I adore How Sweet It Is, Chookooloonks, Designlovefest, Gala Darling, Oh Joy, Spoon Fork Bacon, Fashionably Geek, The Bloggess, and so much more.
TNG: What is your favorite thing/things to nerd out about?
Arbine: I love food. I love baking, cooking, and eating it. I’m obsessed with Doctor Who, Sherlock, Firefly, Community, Adventure Time, Futurama, mythology, and anything by Neil Gaiman. I also really love to travel. J’adore Paris.
TNG: Any tips for San Diego Comic-Con?
Arbine: I have never been to San Diego Comic-Con, but I’d have to say that staying hydrated is pretty important. Also, deodorant. Wear it.
TNG: Girlie things you love?
Arbine: I really like hair accessories. Headbands and bow clips are my current faves. I’m always adding things from ban.do and Crown and Glory to my Amazon wish list.
