The Nerdy Girlie's Music Monday #7: San Diego Rock Star Beer & Music Festival

Whenever there is a chance to hangout with my amazing music buddies I am super happy!  So when one of them mentioned that one of our favorite bands Royal Teeth would be headlining the San Diego Beer and Music Festival this past Saturday, I hopped in my car and drove down from LA.
The San Diego Beer and Music Festival is an event celebrating craft beer and live music. The event is a collaborative effort of #rockstarbeer Productions, City Beat Magazine, FM 94/9, and many local breweries combining to raise many for the San Diego Music Foundation.
The event opened to VIPs at 4pm and regular attendees at 5pm.  The crowds were massive!  I had an easy time getting in with a VIP badge and was super excited to try some of the MANY beers and hear some great music.

I met up with my friends and the game was on!  The newly remodeled San Diego Waterfront Park was gorgeous.  Like the name suggests, it was right on the water giving attendees the cool ocean air and a gorgeous sunset!  I couldn't help but be in love with all the palm trees surrounding the venue.
Once we were done walking around and taking it all in, we parked right in front of the stage for the end of Falling Doves rocking set!  Hailing from West Hollywood, Falling Doves was nominated for Best Pop/Rock Band in the 2014 San Diego Music Awards.
Next up was Breach the Summit from Orange County.  These boys know how to put on a great show and put a lot of emotion into their performance.
Though the beer was great and the views were impressive, my friends and I were really at the San Diego Beer and Music Festival for one thing...Royal Teeth.  The indie pop band hails from New Orleans, Louisiana and flew out that day just for the event.  If they were any bit jet lagged they didn't show it.  Royal Teeth brings energy to all their performances no matter if it is the American Idol stage or a small local festival.
I am so in love with the chemistry between lead singers Gary and Nora.  You can tell how much they care about each other.  The entire band always seems like they are having the best time on stage, you can tell they love what they do.
This Nerdy Girlie couldn't help but LOVE bass player Joshua's super hero tee!  It read Kent & Stark & Parker & Wayne.
After their set, Royal Teeth headed over for one more round at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel.  The place was packed and Royal Teeth hit one out of the park again only two hours later.

Thank you San Diego Beer and Music Festival for letting me take part in this fun event.

AGHH! This looks like so much fun. I hardly listen to any new bands these days. What a great way to discover new talent.
