I was lucky enough to be sent a $40 gift card to Adagio Teas and I was SOOOO excited to use it. I've always loved that they have fandom teas! Mixing all my loves into one perfect thing! My good friend and co party host of SherlockeDCC, Cara McGee, makes all these lovely fandom teas and those were the ones I just HAD to buy! Doctor Who tea?! Yes please!
I had EIGHT new teas to try and they were all loose leaf. This was a struggle for this impatient American. Waiting for my water to boil, scooping out each tea {I only have ONE small lil strainer} and letting it brew, waiting for it to cool. I tried to make it an experience, but basically I just wanted to drink my tea! My favorite part out of all of this was smelling each tea! It was interesting how the smell made me make a immediate decision on wether I thought I would like the tea or not.
Based on the character art, the smell and the look of each tea, in my head I thought I knew what I would like. That wasn't always the case. I was happily surprised by which were my favorites and NO it wasn't 10! :) Here are my thoughts!
Smell - Subtle coconut which reminds me of something to sip on the beach!
Taste - Black Tea. Which is my favorite kind!
Smell - Christmas-y.
Taste - Orange-y. And the tea itself was too gorgeous not to share a photo of!
9th Doctor - FAVORITE!
Smell - Breakfast!
Taste - Like drinking breakfast! LOVE IT!
Smell - Cinnamon.
Taste - Sweet tea with a bitter after note. {Least favorite}
10th Doctor - 3rd favorite
Smell - Chocolate-y.
Taste - The one I thought would be my 1st favorite was not, but still up there! I love the hint of chocolate!
River Song
River Song
Smell - Medicine-y with a hint of fruit.
Taste - The medicine-y note was there, but with a bit of sweet fruit. Again another one that I had to share a picture of since the tea itself is gorgeous!
Smell - Sweet black tea.
Taste - Dark black tea.
Are You Trying To Deduce Me? - 2nd favorite
Smell - Fruit Loops.
Taste - It’s like drinking Fruit Loops milk and tea. {Surprisingly good combo!}
A BIG thank you to Adagio Teas for sending me the gift card! I now have even more tea over flowing out of my kitchen cabinet. Always a good thing! Who wants to come over for a tea party?! I've had SOME practice now and one of my favorite posts I've written is An American Anglophile Tries To Brew A Proper Cuppa!
Share your favorite tea with me in the comments below! Have you tried any of the fandom teas?

I love the artwork on the tins! I've tried a Teen Wolf themed tea before and it was great!
These Adagio teas are amazing! I got a Ramona Flowers tea and it is amazing. It has little flowers in it but it's a black tea, which suits that character's personality perfectly :) I don't think I could blend a decent fandom blend, but I can enjoy them nonetheless!
B I was thinking that I have to use these tins for something, they are so cute! xx
That sounds so gorgeous Mia! xx
Oh wow these are amazing I definitely need to try them out sometime, I love tea (obviously!) and I love this idea so much, It's great that you can just fandomise anything! xoxo
I literally want to try all of these! "Are you trying to deduce me?" sounds delicious <3
OH MY WORD. I need ALL of them! I'm heading over to the site right now! Loooove tea!
I've wanted to try some Adagio fandom tea for a while! I've even made one, a long long time ago! I used to drink tea ALL THE TIME, but coffee took over again. I need to get back into the habit of drinking tea, and this post definitely helped!
These are so cute! Love love love black tea!
Rory and Amy tea?! I need this is my life. I also what to steal your teapot
Thanks Melissa! I got it IN London!! xx
Defo try to do both! I love both and forget that sometimes! xx
I love Adagio's teas! I've tried the Rory blend (it's pretty good), but I've been wanting to experiment with more fandom flavors. I might have to try the 9th Doctor tea now!
I had no idea they had fandom tea. I just ordered about 8 tea samples from Adagio, but I'm going to have to get more asap. Thanks for sharing!
Will do! I'm thinking of writing a review of the samples I recently received.
